Under excessive operating conditions, capacitors will overheat and spontaneously explode to release unbearable pressure. Some low-quality capacitors will explode so completely that their remains are lost, like tiny firecrackers leaving only small scraps of paper. Resistors: After overheating and overload, they will change color or smoke. Resistors can also spontaneously explode, either breaking off or having a portion fly off.
Resistance Method: Use a digital multimeter to measure the suspected circuit. We generally use the diode setting (short-circuit the two probes; this is the setting that will beep). Before measuring resistance, we perform necessary discharge procedures. After confirming there is no mains power, we use tweezers to short-circuit some capacitors one by one. Don't be alarmed by the sparks and sounds produced during discharge. Then, we measure the in-circuit resistance.
Voltage Measurement Method
Learning to measure voltage is one of the basic repair skills. Measuring voltage while the circuit is live is quite dangerous, but it's necessary in certain situations. This isn't just about our own safety; there's a high risk of accidentally damaging the charger. If you damage the charger while measuring it, don't be discouraged. Even the best technicians make mistakes, and even masters aren't immune. Just remember that voltage measurements have a clear purpose; never blindly measure voltage randomly while the circuit is live-this is a major taboo.
Substitution Method
Substitution involves replacing certain components. The replacement components might be new or taken from a working charger. Why use substitution? This method is often used when repairs reach a bottleneck. Substitution is suitable for specific components such as capacitors and integrated circuits-components that may be subject to soft damage. For other hard components, we don't need to, and don't need to, consider, replacing them.
